Coming in January:
The Debate is ON!
The Great Climate Clash!
Dr. Eric Grimsrud (of Flathead County, Montana, as am I) has graciously accepted my invitation to a debate on my website.
To make the debate fair and balanced, I have set up a separate blog site to provide a neutral platform. The debate blog will reference both this website site and Eric's website. We will even have a "referee" so I won't be in the position of making procedural decisions.
Our goal now is to gather a nationwide audience. So your help will be appreciated in telling your friends to sign up also. When the audience is ready, we will declare, like Mr. Incredible, "It's show time!"
Sign up for my free emails for instructions on how to participate when we kick it off. I will provide you sufficient advance notice.

A Scientific View of Climate Change
(no politics,
no personalities)
I gladly accept Ed Berry's invitation to participate in a scientific discussion of the climate changes we believe are presently occurring. In accordance with Ed's request, I will limit my remarks here entirely to the scientific aspects of climate change (in which I am a recognized expert) and will not venture into other aspects of climate change (in which I have opinions like everyone else, but I am not an expert), such as economic and societal consequences. - Eric
Eric will argue that human-emissions of carbon dioxide are causing significant climate change. I, of course, will argue the opposite.
We present, you decide!
This is going to be a unique opportunity for you. You cannot get it from TV, radio, letters to the editor, speeches or books.
This will be the first time, to my knowledge, that a true scientific debate about global warming will be presented to the public with public interaction. Too many times, science is ignored when the discussion turns to economics, politics or personalities. This will not happen here. We will stick to science.
This debate is not about Eric or Ed. We are only the messengers. This debate is about whether our carbon dioxide is really the concern it is made out to be by many people and politicians.
The blog structure will allow guest scientists to participate in a separate blog from the general public. But it will still be up to Eric and me to incorporate any scientific input into our own arguments. We will try to show you as completely as possible the scientific cases for and against global warming.
This will be more valuable to you than reading books (or even than taking a university course in global warming). There is no better way to learn than to follow a debate between professionals and be able to ask your own questions along the way.
The benefactors will be you, the general public. No matter what your views on global warming, Eric and I will help you understand global warming way beyond what you have learned from the media. We will show you the science of global warming so you can understand it ... and act on it as you wish.
Here's to the "Great Climate Clash"
... the most important debate on the planet!
My concern now is that Eric might be positively influenced
by the material on this website and change his mind about global warming.
(Ed)
But I don't think he will because I think Eric is
a natural competitor.
(Eric) But if he does then I will have lost a good
and worthy debate opponent, and it will be a sure sign that all of you
alarmists out there had better change your minds also.
