Here is a website where you can learn about
climate change and global warming. Our goal is to give you, the non-specialist,
sufficient knowledge for you to draw your own conclusions about global
warming.
Most likely, at this point, you do not have the background to make
a valid decision. Most likely, you are not a professional atmospheric
scientist. You have been literally brainwashed by the media with false
alarms. We will show you how to recognize false alarms and to avoid
the logical fallacy of affirming the consequent. Unless you understand
this fallacy, you will likely reach the wrong conclusion.
We will show you how you do not have to be an expert in atmospheric
science in order to know when the hypothesis of global warming is proven
to be false.
To develop and test a hypothesis, you must be
an expert in the field but you do not need to be an expert to know when
a hypothesis has been falsified. What you do need to know are some basics
of the philosophy of science.
While I am among the thousands of atmospheric scientists who have
concluded that human carbon dioxide is not and cannot cause global warming,
we plan to offer you scientific discussions with scientists who take
the opposite view from mine.
We intend to keep this site professional. Our discussions of the
science of global warming will be kept at the best science level we
can produce. We will not allow diversions that include irrelevant personal
accusations such as funding, wise cracks or innuendos to enter our discussions
of the science. Science is impersonal.
As scientists, our objective is to relentlessly pursue the truth
about nature. As individual scientists, sometimes we win and sometimes
we lose a scientific argument. Losing is not a disgrace because even
a losing argument usually contributes to scientific progress.
Today, this site
shows only a hint of what you will see here in a few weeks. We
are preparing some very interesting blogs where you will be able to
interact, offer your opinions, and ask questions.
